Matthew Westerby Company is a non-profit organization based in Upper Manhattan dedicated to building community through the arts and promoting accessibility to dance for all, regardless of age, experience or the ability to pay. The Company works extensively in dance education, creating programming for all ages, and through its signature community dance program, The Harlem Project.

Rise & Shine is MWC’s new accessible dance program for all ages presented in partnership with FSUMC/The People’s Church in East Harlem. Led by the Company’s professional teaching artists in a diverse range of dance styles, the program will provide low-cost access to dance classes afterschool and on Saturdays. Price is $5 per class – payment can be made monthly or per semester. Scholarship assistance will be available to families when needed. Classes will include Creative Dance, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Modern Dance & Ballet.
